Marker dedication ceremony [sound recording], 1955.

Tape-recorded ceremonies, October 15, 1955, dedicating an historical marker commemorating the first forest patrol flight anywhere, made from Trout Lake, Wisconsin, by Jack Vilas in 1915. Speakers include H. S. Tuttle of the Vilas County Historical Society, Ray Sivesind of the State Historical Society, Neil LeMay and C. L. Harrington of the Wisconsin Conservation Department, Douglas Taylor of the State Aeronautics Commission, and Jack Vilas.
